SHAKESPEARE'S 450TH ANNIVERSARY: 23RD APRIL
SONNET XVIII
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed,
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed:
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st,
Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st,
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS: IT HAS BEEN A REALLY EXHAUSTING WEEK,BUT I AM SO PROUD OF ALL OF YOU. and WE WON: BEST DELEGATION TO CANADA AND HONORABLE MENTION TO MADAGASCAR
I can't believe when we started our work in September that we could have gone as far as this. I have really enjoyed working in Global Classroom with all of you, and we must THANK Lindsay for all her hard work. You have done a great job. You all deserve to go to New York. And If there had been a price for BEST SCHOOL we would have won that prize. Apart from having great opening speeches which you had to change once there because some of you did not get the chance to do it in the first round. You all did extremely well both in moderated and unmoderated caucus. You all passed your resolutions. You were THE BEST.
I don't want to forget those of you who were not at Acacias, including Vivian. You have also been in this project from the beginning and have worked hard on it too.
I post two pictures: the first on our first moment at La Asamblea de Madrid and really tired on the second day waiting for the sessions to be closed. There are many more which we will share at school.

VALENTINE'S DAY
On the Balcony
by D.H. Lawrence
In front of the sombre mountains,
a faint, lost ribbon of rainbow
And between us and it, the thunder;
And down below in the green wheat,
the labourers stand like dark stumps,
still in the green wheat.
You are near to me, and naked feet
In their sandals, and through the
scent of the balcony's naked timber
I distinguish the scent of your hair:
so now the limber
Lightning falls from heaven.
Adown the pale-green glacier river floats
A dark boat through the gloom—
and whither? The thunder roars
But still we have each other!
The naked lightnings in the heavens dither
And disappear—
what have we but each other?
The boat has gone.
